Rendez-Vous with French Cinema: Celebrating 30 Years in 2025

The 30th edition of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema will be held at Film at Lincoln Center’s Walter Reade Theater (165 West 65th Street between Broadway and Amsterdam Avenue) from March 6 to March 16, 2025, offering an exciting array of contemporary French films. Co-presented by Unifrance and Film at Lincoln Center, the festival celebrates the vibrancy of French cinema, featuring a range of dramas, comedies, and unique artistic expressions.

The festival opens with Three Friends by writer-director Emmanuel Mouret, a heartfelt exploration of love and friendship. Three films in the festival feature acclaimed actor Vincent Lindon, including The Second Act by Quentin Dupieux, a quirky meta-comedy set on a film set; the North American premiere of Cross Away by Gilles Bourdos, a dramatic thriller; and The Quiet Son by Delphine and Muriel Coulin, for which Lindon won Best Actor at the 81st Venice Film Festival. Two notable feature debuts from the 77th Cannes Film Festival are Agathe Riedinger’s Wild Diamond, which follows a young woman’s pursuit of fame as a reality TV contestant, and Louise Courvoisier’s Holy Cow, about an 18-year-old’s drive to produce the best Comté cheese in his region.

Tickets are available for $17 for the general public, with discounts for students, seniors, and Film at Lincoln Center members. Opening Night tickets are priced at $25 for the general public and $20 for members. Many screenings will be followed by Q&A sessions for select films, allowing audiences to hear directly from the filmmakers about their creative process.
