Save the Date for our 28th Annual Meeting

The Lincoln Square BID's 28th Annual Meeting will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 9:30am at Lincoln Center's David Rubenstein Atrium. Mark your calendars and stay tuned—we’ll share more details, including how to register, in the coming weeks.

Summer Programs for Youth

The Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP) application is open through February 28! Each summer, SYEP connects young New Yorkers (ages 14-24) with paid work experience and career exploration in relevant fields. Learn more and apply here.

High school students interested in working toward safety and justice for all should consider applying for a paid internship through the Manhattan District Attorney’s office. Applications are open now through March 12 at 5:00pm. Internships will run from June 30 through August 1. Applicants must be current high school sophomores, juniors, or seniors who reside in Manhattan. Learn more and apply.

National Slam the Scam Day

Next Friday, March 7, is National Slam the Scam Day, sponsored by the Social Security Administration. Their Scam Alert fact sheet helps identify the typical techniques of scammers and how folks can protect themselves. Public Hearing About Credit Card Limitations

The Department of Consumer and Worker Protection (DCWP) is proposing to amend rules relating to credit card limitations to ensure consistency with New York General Business Law § 518. DCWP will hold a virtual public hearing on the proposed rule on March 14 at 11:00am. Learn more here.

NYC Free Tax Prep

The IRS is officially accepting and processing 2024 tax returns! Find a checklist here of what you need to file your 2024 tax return. Families that earned $93,000 or less in 2024 and single filers with an income of $65,000 or less in 2024 can file for FREE with an IRS-certified VITA/TCE volunteer preparer. The deadline to file a tax return for your 2024 taxes is April 15, 2025Learn more here.

Do Not Park in Front of Fire Hydrants

The FDNY is urging New Yorkers to never block fire hydrants with parked cars. It is illegal to park within 15 feet of a fire hydrant. Every second matters in an emergency, and blocking a hydrant could delay firefighters when responding. Call 311 to report a blocked or improperly opened fire hydrant.
