Celebrate the Season at the West 68th Street Holiday Concert
Dec 11, 2024There is plenty of holiday cheer to spread in Lincoln Square this season, and the West 68th Street Block Association is adding to the fun with its 4th annual community caroling event. On Thursday, December 12, from 6:30pm to 8:30pm, the festivities will take place at the corner of West 68th Street and Broadway, right outside Morton Williams, in honor of the supermarket’s first anniversary in the Lincoln Square neighborhood. This free event will celebrate the joy of Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa, bringing together the community for an evening of music, cheer, and camaraderie—all are welcome!
The concert will feature enchanting performances by “The Joyful Quartet” of Victorian Christmas Carolers and the Stephen Wise Free Synagogue Hanukkah Choir, as well as a special Kwanzaa musical presentation. Attendees are invited to sing along using online songbooks, accessible via the QR code on the event flyer. In addition to music, guests will enjoy beverages and chocolates courtesy of Morton Williams Supermarkets.
Attendees can purchase $1 raffle tickets, with all proceeds going toward the West 68th Street Block Association’s initiatives, including its planting program, rodent control, and community activities. Raffle prizes include gift cards to local spots including Morton Williams Supermarkets, Il Violino Restaurant, Joanne Trattoria, La Boite en Bois Restaurant, Francesco Pizzeria, and La Traviata Pizzeria. You can buy your raffle tickets using Venmo, PayPal, or credit/debit cards.
The Lincoln Square BID is proud to be a sponsor of the event, along with other local organizations and public officials. For more information, view the event flyer, email w68info@aol.com, or call (917) 417-1882.
