In late August, the Lincoln Square BID welcomed its newest intern, Sophia Mancusi! Sophia is an undergraduate student at John Jay College of Criminal Justice, where she studies Criminology and Public Administration. She’s interested in learning more about how the Lincoln Square BID supports and engages the neighborhood.
As part of the Lincoln Square BID team, Sophia will be responsible for updating our events calendar with local activities, performances, and events throughout the district. She will also clip articles for our Board members and photograph the neighborhood. Although John Jay College is just outside our boundaries, Sophia spends plenty of time in Lincoln Square and has explored nearly every corner of the district.
Outside of work and school, Sophia enjoys visiting zoos and botanical gardens, learning about animals from around the world, and listening to old records passed down from her parents. She’s also a self-proclaimed “Internet Archivist,” with a passion for deep dives into the history of the early internet and lost media.
