For over 50 years, environmental activists David Suzuki and Tara Cullis have shared their life as romantic partners, artistic collaborators, and colleagues in climate activism. Scientist and Emeritus Professor of Genetics at the University of British Columbia, Suzuki has communicated humanity’s collective impact on the natural world through radio, television (“The Nature of Things”), and 56 books. Cullis, a former Harvard faculty member and prominent voice in the field of ecological sustainability, has helmed The David Suzuki Foundation for more than 35 years. In collaboration with the award-winning, Toronto-based Why Not Theatre, the couple star in What You Won’t Do For Love, an original play centering around their public service, drive for change, and lasting commitment. A rare and intimate look at a relationship shaped by deep passion and the courage to act; David and Tara share captivating stories, powerful insights, and heartfelt moments of humor in celebration of their love for each other and our planet. Experience this theatrical reminder that change begins with connection, followed by a 20-minute Q&A.
