Camille Thurman with the Darrell Green Quartet

Camille Thurman has been referred to as a “classic double threat” by NPR. A musician who is equally adept on the tenor saxophone and as a vocalist. The New York City-born musician has been compared to Ella Fitzgerald, Sarah Vaughan, Betty Carter, Dexter Gordon, and Joe Henderson. Camille made a historic mark as the first woman to perform and tour full-time with the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (2018-2020). Thurman is making a name as a bandleader, co-leading an ensemble with Drummer Darrell Green.

Darrell Green is one of today’s most sought-after drummers on the Jazz scene and has toured with Pharoah Sanders, Wallace Roney, Cassandra Wilson, George Cables, and Stefon Harris. Darrell and Camille have assembled a dynamic band that features trumpeter Wallace Roney, Jr, pianist Jordan Williams, and bassist Paul Beaudry.
