The NYC Department of Small Business Services is hosting a resource fair for veteran and military-connected entrepreneurs on Wednesday, November 12, at 9:30am, at 1 Liberty Plaza. The fair will bring together city agencies, nonprofit service providers, lenders, and veteran-run organizations, all committed to providing resources and support to veteran-owned businesses and those owned by their immediate family members. On the last Tuesday of each month from 10:00am to 3:00pm, a Veteran Service Officer with the Veterans of Foreign Wars will be available at Council Member Gale Brewer’s District Office (563 Columbus Avenue) to assist veterans applying for VA benefits, whether disability, pension, healthcare, dependent, education, or home loans. Bring military service records and discharge form DD214; no appointment necessary.

Municipal Archives Library Book Sale

On Friday, November 7, and Saturday, November 8, from 10:00am to 4:00pm, the NYC Municipal Archives and Library will hold a book sale of items that have been removed from the library’s collections, including books about history, politics, culture, theater, art, food, and iconic landmarks.
