After World War II, the world’s moviegoers fell in love with Rome as seen by Hollywood in Roman Holiday and Three Coins in the Fountain and through the cinematic lenses of great Italian filmmakers who presented warts-and-all views of the haunting city (including Vittorio De Sica’s The Bicycle Thief and Federico Fellini’s La Dolce Vita). There was also the great Cinecittà studio serving as "Hollywood on the Tiber" during the 1950s and 1960s.

Join film historian Max Alvarez as he takes viewers on a multimedia historical tour of how filmmakers have immortalized Rome, including details on specific filming locations.
