  • Architectural Study - Aerial Shoot from ABS Roof, Sunday, April 26th

    April 25, 2015

    As part of an architectural study,  Avalon Bay and architects Skidmore Owens and Merrill (SOM) have commissioned a viewshed survey and photoshoot above the American Bible Society Building at 1865 Broadway.  This involves use of a tetherd balloon to capture panoramic views of the greater NYC skyline from various floors of the proposed new building. This tethered, helium balloon camera platform conforms and exceeds to all FAA airspace regulations and air safety recommendations CFR Code 101. All permits have been secured and police and local authorities have been alerted.
      
    This architectural survey will start at sunrise and finish at dusk on Sunday, April 26th.  It is being conducted by an experienced, nationally recognized landscape architectural site planning firm, Digital Design & Imaging Service Inc. READ

  • The Lincoln Square BID's 18th Annual Meeting - May 13

    April 25, 2015

    The Lincoln Square BID's 18th Annual Meeting will be held at Fordham University at 113 West 60th Street, 12th Floor on May 13, 2015 at 8:15am. The meeting will begin with a complimentary breakfast and we will hear from our three wonderful guest speakers: Father Joseph McShane (pictured left), President of Fordham University; Michael Julian (pictured center), Deputy Commissioner, Personnel of the New York City Police Department; and Honorable Scott Stringer (pictured right), Comptroller, City of New York. We will also be discussing the Lincoln Square BID's Fiscal Year 2016 budget, electing directors to our Board, and reviewing the past year's accomplishments.

  • Lincoln Square Traffic Advisory: March of Dimes - March for Babies - Sunday, April 26

    We have been notified that the March of Dimes - March for Babies will take place in Lincoln Square on Sunday, April 26. This will have a major impact on our neighborhood. According to the March of Dimes, the start line will be on Columbus Avenue from 62nd Street to 65th Street. The march begins at 10:00am with registration beginning at 8:30am.

    According to the New York City Department of Transportation (DOT) the following streets in Lincoln Square will be closed from 10:00am to 11:30am: READ

  • Water Main Project Update 4.17.2015

    The New York City Department of Design and Construction (NYC DDC) has issued a Weekly Construction Bulletin regarding the installation of trunk water mains along W. 60th Street. The bulletin gives updates on the status of work planned from Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24.
