Winter Storm Juno is obviously here and will affect the Tri-State area until at least Wednesday, January 28th. The National Weather Service is predicting approximately 18-24 inches of snow and frigid weather.
Our Clean Team is on the job and trying to keep ahead of the snow, shoveling crosswalks, pedestrian crossings in the Broadway Malls, bus stops, catch basins and fire hydrants. We expect them to be in tomorrow barring unforeseen travel difficulties. We are placing reflective driveway markers at catch basins and fire hydrants so that we can find them after the plows go through to clear them of snow. Our property owners and businesses are doing their part to keep the sidewalks in front of their properties and establishments clear of snow as well.
We are confident that our colleagues at the Department of Sanitation will continue to do a great job making sure that our roads are safe for emergency vehicles and we thank them. For more information on Winter Storm Juno and to keep informed on the City’s response, visit nyc.gov/severeweather or nyc.gov/oem. To report a non emergency snow condition, call 311. Contact 911 for emergencies. If you need more information, please call our office at (212) 581-3774 or email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. READ
